Millets Farm Maize Maze

We were very excited to be invited to try out the Maize Maze at the Millets Farm Centre in Frilford, Oxfordshire.

It is £6 per adult and £5.25 per child to enter the Maize Maze area, this gives you access to the 3 mazes, Go-Karts, 2 other activities and the fun yard.

The Maize Maze is Alice in Wonderland themed and has 3 levels of Maze. We didn’t do the easiest maze, but in that one you had to find pots of paint and dip your finger in them, at the end you could use the colours on your fingers to find your fortune.

The middle level maze took us about 30 minutes to complete. We had a  card with a picture of  the ‘mad hatters tea time table’ on it, around the maze were 10 stations each with a stamp of a food item to put on your picture of the table. Z and S thought this was fantastic, they dashed around looking for the stamps getting very excited when they found one.

The big maze is huge! Millets recommend that you allow about and hour and a half for this one. Again there are 10 stations to find, each with a clue to help you answer a question. At the end of this maze is a little wooden snake maze, which Z and S spent a long time running around inside and on top of. There were also go karts which were a bit big for my children, but Hubby and I had a good race!

Also in the maze area were some woods with Cat faces on the trees, you had to find all the faces and draw them, we didn’t have time for this either, but I think Z and S would have loved it. There was also a fort area, which again we didn’t have time to look at, but the object in there was to find jewels.

The fun yard, had a couple of trampolines, some large garden games, a bouncy castle, sandpit and some hay bales to climb on. Z and S had a great time in here too.

Value for money wise the Maize Maze is brilliant, you could easily spend all day just in that area of the Farm if you did all the activities.

If you did run out of things to do, the other side of the Farm Centre has a great outdoor play area and farm zoo with animals from all over the world.  There is also a garden centre, restaurant and farm shop.

We managed to try the pick your own, where you can pick a variety of fruit and vegetables. Pick your own is open from June to September. We picked strawberries and raspberries which Z and S thought was fantastic, they kept running down the line of strawberry plants shouting ‘ I found a red one’, very excitedly.

We thought Millets Farm Centre was great, and the Maize Maze excellent value for money. We will definitely be going back.

The Mazie Maze  is open till 18th September.

We received free entry to the maize maze, lunch and a voucher for PYO strawberries. All words and opinions are my own.
