10 fun things to do with DUPLO

Since joining the DUPLO panel earlier this year we have found more and more fun ways to play with it. These are my favourite, and all are great for this current rainy weather we are experiencing.

DUPLO is fantastic for improving coordination, logic, creativity and imagination, the possibilities really are endless.

Try some printing and painting with DUPLO

Combine with slimy Spaghett

Play Guess Who.

Do some simple sums

Add some sand for small world play.

DUPLO small world play

Make a track for a Zhu Zhu pet or cars

Make some fancy patterns

Measure how many DUPLO bricks tall you are.

Build some towers and test how strong they are

Build a famous landmark

Big Ben

Can you think of anything else? and don’t forget about my Little Builders link up.

  8. Its really interesting to see what you can do with duplo because I have to admit we skipped it and went straight to lego with Goblin (33 months) because we felt it was more versatile. He loves playing with it, but maybe I could incorporate some Duplo as well as they are interchangable.

  9. Great Duplo ideas. As we have two big Duplo fans in our house, we will use many of your ideas to get the usual block building more fun and new for the kids.

    Thanks

  14. I love those ideas- especially the strength tower. Very clever. I’ve also seen putting cvc words on the blocks (each letter on one block, and then sticking the blocks together).
