As a blogger I sometimes get asked to do some strange things, carving a vegetable garnish might be the norm for some people but I can barely chop a carrot without cutting my finger so the challenge from Tesco was definitely, ermm…challenging. Creating a vegetable garnish if you’re a novice is harder than you think. I looked on YouTube and Pinterest for ideas but they were all very complicated and so in the end I settled for a simple tomato flower.
What do you think?
Tesco sent us sent 5 Thomas Knives to use to carve, which we’ve been very impressed with. Our old knives were on their last legs and it has made such a difference having a new sharp set.
I’m not the only blogger who has been carving away, I’m told there are a few of us, and the blogger with the best garnish will receive a meal voucher up to the value of £150 from Red Letter Days. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s entries.
Tesco are running a sticker promotion between 3rd March – 1st June 2014 where you can save up to 70% on exclusive kitchenware products at Tesco. For every £20 you spend online OR in-store you can collect a sticker, once you’ve collected five stickers you can use these to save up to 70% off professional kitchenware items. The campaign isn’t live just yet you can check Tesco.com/direct/Thomas-
We were sent the knives for the purpose of entering this competition.
