My 6 year old LOVES football, not so much watching but playing. Whenever the weather is dry he’s outside in the garden kicking a ball around.
I was really interested to read about the Dream the Blues campaign, which last year spanned eight countries aiming to encourage football-loving children aged between 9 and 13 the chance to achieve their football dreams. During the campaign, Samsung and Chelsea visited the eight countries with youth football camps and provided training for the youngsters to learn from Chelsea Foundation coaches. The 16 most passionate players from each camp were chosen to attend the Blues Camp in London where they trained with Chelsea players.
The initiative is an expansion of the Samsung-Chelsea FC Youth Football Camp program and has already benefited 5,000 children across the world since 2007.
This year once again children from around the world will get the opportunity to meet and play with Chelsea players such as Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard and John Terry.
