I’m not really into big gestures or expensive gifts for birthdays, Christmas and Mother’s Day, I would honestly rather a handmade card from the kids, that they’d taken the time to make and write themselves than any present. Anyone can buy a gift, but only my children could make me a card that would REALLY make me smile. When little S wrote a note at school that said she missed me, it completely melted my heart. I have a big box full of kids drawings, notes and stories and would be more upset about losing those than any material item.
This video from Paperchase is brilliant. I love the idea of grown men making their Mum a card, I wonder if any actually do?
