Spend Vouchers, get Rewards

February 14, 2012 by admin Leave a Comment

I’ve had a Tesco clubcard for as long as I can remember.  Initially I’d always just use the vouchers in store to save money on my shopping, until my mum told me about the watch she had bought from Goldsmiths using her vouchers to get 4x their value. After that we saved all our vouchers and have used them in restaurants, Legoland and Goldmiths. I think its such a great scheme.

Last year I saved up all year, always looking for the special deals in store to get extra points, hoping to get us all a Merlin pass, but then my husband broke his watch after cycling in the rain and we had to use all my hard earned vouchers in Goldsmiths to get it fixed. Of course we were disappointed about not being able to get the Merlin pass, but its pretty great that we got 4x our voucher value to get the watch fixed, much better than forking out the cash.

I’m hopeful we’ll still have enough points to get a day trip to Legoland at least. If not the kids will be very disappointed! A day pass to Legoland is just £11.50 in vouchers and an annual pass just £22 which is amazing. Without Tesco vouchers a trip to somewhere like Legoland would be just too expensive for us as a family of 5.

Collecting points on your card could not be easier, you get them on almost everything in store, at Tesco.com, Tesco petrol stations, Tesco Direct and if you have a Clubcard Credit card.

You can spend the points in all those places too or there are special Clubcard Deals, such as 4x the voucher value in resatuarants including Pizza Express, Cafe Rouge and Browns.

Every 150 points equates to £1.50 in vouchers, which is the worth £6 if you use a reward where you get 4 x the value. Pretty impressive!

You can also exchange vouchers for magazine subscriptions, cinema vouchers, activity days and hotel breaks amongst other things.

What do you spend your vouchers on?
