A Week of Firsts

Published: Sep 16, 2013 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored content

It’s been an exciting and rather stressful week in our house. Little S started school, I think it’s going well, although after only two days she has already chewed a hole in her cardigan so I think she is still a little anxious. After her first morning, she was first in the queue to leave the classroom with a cardboard hat on her head. She hadn’t picked up her coat, book bag or water bottle though. I think it’ll be a while before we can leave without sending her back in for stuff.

She was most excited about the kitchen.

“There’s a kitchen, Mummy! with REAL cups and REAL apples you can eat”

She’s also been finding her inner girly side, and has become a little obsessed with her dolls, much to Z’s horror, “they’re not REAL you know”.

Little H, made her first friend in nursery and is very pleased with herself. She also started swimming lessons this week. My little girl is growing up fast. I love how excited she is when she comes home. ‘Mummy, I jumped in all by myself’ or ‘Mummy, I missed you, but I made a friend’. She is really starting to find herself and make her own identity.

Z has been very happy to start Year 2, and seems glad to be back with his little friends. I’m a little less glad as he has already come home keen to show off his new chinese burn skills…….I’m just waiting to hear what new life skills S come home eager to demonstrate.

Reading that made me think about A as I can’t believe that will be her this time next year. I hope you all settle into the new routine and when you find the key to remembering all their things let me know as my 8 year old still can’t do it.
