Overheard at Christmas

Published: Jan 13, 2016 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored content

I spotted this post in my drafts earlier today and couldn’t resist posting even though we’re well past Christmas now.

Back when we were in the midst of Christmas plays and mad present wrapping little Sydney asked.

Was Santa alive when Jesus was born?

As we sort of celebrate Jesus’s birthday with Santa I imagine they couldn’t have been alive at the same time, when I investigated I found that Santa can be found on record as far back as the 16th Century in England and typified the spit of good cheer at Christmas time! Next year we might have to embark on some history of Christmas learning.

One night after school I overheard this little chat around the dinner table which made me giggle. We don’t go to Church, although I would like to, but Sydney seems to have taken a strong message on board from her play, which is very sweet.

Zak: Christmas isn’t about presents

Sydney: Yes it is, Jesus is the greatest gift of all

Did you hear any funnies over Christmas time, can you remember?

I do love how children’s minds work and the questions that they come up with.

I love how little minds work – the one thing I can remember Tigger saying this Christmas was if we have a boy baby can E can him Jesus
