Dance in Blackpool?

May 6, 2014 by admin Leave a Comment

Do you like to dance? I love dancing after a few drinks, and have always wished I’d gone to ballet lessons when I was a child. I’d love to be all elegant, poised and confident.

I’ve got a great guest post for you today all about dancing in Blackpool. Where is your dream place to dance?

Learning to Dance in Blackpool

Whether you were a fan of Come Dancing as a child, you long to dance like the professional dancers on ITV’s Strictly, or you have dreams of strutting your stuff in the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom, all of your dreams can come true in Blackpool. Book into the Travelodge by the sea, just a short walk from The Blackpool Tower Ballroom itself, and learn to dance like the stars of stage and screen in this fabulously decadent seaside town. Of course you will find plenty of ballroom classes here, but you can learn many a dance genre in Blackpool. If you dream of being a dancer, why not take a look at a few of the dance classes and dance related activities here in town:

Tea in the Ballroom

Enjoy afternoon or high tea in the stunningly beautiful Blackpool Tower Ballroom. If you’re more of a dreamer than a dancer you’ll get to watch others dance their way around the ballroom, gliding across the sprung dance floor and practising their steps while you enjoy a slice of cake or two. The dancers out there will enjoy working up an appetite dancing around this famous venue before settling down for a bite to eat.

Vintage Dance

Why not head to The Blackpool Tower Ballroom on the 10th of May for an entire day celebrating the dances of the early 21st Century. Dress in clothing inspired from the 1920’s to the 1950’s as you enjoy dancing to the sound of the impressive Wurlitzer organ and the bands playing that evening. A great event for vintage fans and one that will transport you back to a wonderful time in the ballroom’s colourful past.

Tango Ball

If you’re a fan of the Argentine Tango, you simply cannot miss the first Tango Ball to be held here in Blackpool, which is being held on the 11th of October. Passionate, exotic and steeped in intrigue, the Argentine Tango is an amazing dance style to learn. Beginners can take part in a workshop to hone their skills, then dance the night away until 3am in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Salsa

Learn to Salsa like a Cuban in Blackpool. You’ll dance to sexy Latin beats as you sway your hips to the sensuous and theatrical rhythm of this hot and steamy dance style. With lessons throughout the Blackpool area you’ll find a great class to attend in no time. Why not organise an intensive class and spend a few days in Blackpool being taught by a pro?

Private Dance Lessons

Whether you want to learn ballroom dancing, Salsa, the Tango, flamenco or even street dancing, you’ll find you can learn it in Blackpool. With private dance lessons, you’ll be able to arrange an intensive course that takes you through the basics, and then hones your skills until you are dancing like you were born to it. Worth every penny if you really do want to perfect your steps.

From line dancing to waltzing around a ballroom to shimmying your way through a sexy salsa, you’ll find Blackpool is the perfect place to learn to dance.
