The Gallery – My weekend

July 29, 2011 by admin

I sat at the front of CyberMummy 1 on saturday and thought,

Wow I cannot believe I am part of this.

Blogging is not as a taxi driver once told me,

Just people spouting about rubbish.

Yes, blogging is about sometimes telling your own story and  not every post is interesting to all readers, sometimes you even do a review about something you loved but no one else may like.

Blogging is also about communciating with like minded people, sharing your story, finding new friends, celebrating the highs and commiserating the lows.

I have made real friends from blogging, friends who I now meet up with in ‘real life’ and whom I was instantly comfortable with as we had already shared so much of our lives. Friends who have welcomed me as a new blogger, and cheered me on, giving me confidence in my blog.

I can honestly say everyone I met at CyberMummy without exception was lovely and friendly. Yes there were not enough places to sit and some of the sessions were not as interesting as others, but I didn’t care about that. I was just happy to be part of something so big and so influential.

It was brilliant to meet the very lovely Multiple Mummy and we came away inspired to do something more with Science Sparks, big thanks to Maggy from RedTedArt for this.

Another highlight was meeting a I’m so Fancy who is as lovely and funny in real life as in her blog.

My weekend post would not be complete without a big thanks to BrotherMax for sponsoring me. Abi and Kim have been simply fantastic to work with.

Another big thanks to Hyundai for the amazing car, and goodies that went with it!

My gallery post would not be complete without a photo of my amazingly wonderful children and husband , who are everything to me. Oh, and if you were wondering hubby coped remarkably well without me, even commenting that maybe I should keep the house tidier through the day during the week.

lovely to meet you, it was all so busy and so many people I felt I missed getting to know properly at lot of people, free wine didn’t help my concentration levels.
I’ve heard so many people dismiss blogs are dull and boring and people spouting stuff, it was great to be an environment that celebrated all that’s great about blogging. X
