How organised are you?

I’m sure at some point in my life, probably pre children, I was organised, or at least more organised than I am now. I’m currently sat at a desk covered in paperwork, old coffee cups and chocolate wrappers, feeling mildly stressed about the many things I need to accomplish today that I probably only have about 10 minutes to complete before the baby wakes up.

I really would love to be one of those people who has everything put away tidily and is completely on top of everything, but with 4 children, I’m not sure that’s going to happen anytime soon. The infographic below from F@W office furniture  made me laugh as I can see bits of msyelf in several star signs, but I think I’m most similar to a Leo and Aries. My husband recently referred to my bag as being a “nightmare” and refused to even look inside. It’s usually full of everything but the item I actually need. My fun always makes mess, which generally then takes four times longer to tidy up than the fun that was had! I am sadly not organised in any way shape or form like Sagittarian people are meant to be.

My disorganisation however is not because that’s how I want to be, it’s just general lack of time and children that create mess faster than I can tidy it up. I need to follow them around with a hoover and bin bag. Everyday I promise myself that I’m going to get on top of the house, but always only manage to sort of maintain the general mess level and somehow remember gym runs, school runs, swim lessons and to wash some clothes. That’s still an achievement though, right?
