Living Arrows 16/52

April 22, 2014 by admin 18 Comments

It feels a bit weird to be sat here on my own after two weeks of endless noisy requests for food, games and trips to the park. I’d like to say I’m enjoying the peace, but I’m just missing everyone. The house feels too empty, too quiet.

The children however, were quite happy to get back to school, we’ve had a lot of fun together at home, but I think they missed friends that we didn’t manage to see. In some ways the routine of school life is easier to manage than holidays, although not nearly as enjoyable for me. We’ve  braved donutting, explored LEGOLAND, climbed trees, been to the park, had picnics with friends and hunted eggs. Looking back it’s been magical, though not without arguments from my older two children.

This photo was taken at The Vyne, yesterday when we took part in the annual Easter Egg hunt. It caught my eye because Z and H were having a race and he slowed down a little to let her win. A small act of brotherly kindness.

Ahh that’s so sweet of him!

I too am finding it spookily quiet after all the noise at home. Still, only 2 hours to go!

Oh how I missed them when they went back on Tuesday! I’m enjoying the chance to catch up with work but it’s very quiet without them. That photo is gorgeous, I love it! What a kind soul 🙂

What a kind thing to do, despite the arguments they still care for each other. We were so lucky to have so much beautiful sunshine over the holidays. Back to normal now!

You’ve said so many things here that I can relate to, I know you know what I mean because you read my post! Funny age, one minute at each other’s throats, the next so heart-achingly beautiful together!

That is such a sweet thing to do. I really hope my two grow up like that, but to be honest the moment they’d both happily punch each other to get to something first!
