Market Stall Role Play

July 7, 2013 by admin 13 Comments

Welcome to the 100 Days of Play Blog Hop, hosted by SunScholars and Life at the Zoo.

Together with lots of other bloggers, 100 days of wonderful and inspiring play ideas are being posted.

My girls are loving role play games at the moment, especially ‘shop’, but have been getting a little bored with their play food, so to make a change I gave them real fruit and vegetables and we set up a Market Stall.

S designed her own list, and recorded the weight of each item. We also talked about the name and colour of each item.

It turned into a great number writing practice for S and a brilliant number recognition  game for H.

Market Stall

Most importantly it was a lot of fun for all of us.

My kids always adored this kind of role play, as did I when I was a kid. A fun way to play with your kids, for sure! Thanks for sharing in our 100 Days of Play! Your post has been linked and shared in the blog hop!

I really like this, fab toy for role play too. My toddler loves shopping. He’s got a little shopping trolley but at the moment he’s more into pushing it around like a vehicle, lol.
