She’s got the moves..

My parenting idol has to be Lorelai Gilmore from ‘The Gilmore Girls’ (If you’ve never watched it, find it now on Sky and start recording). I just love the way she is best friends with her daughter Rory. In one espisode at Rory’s graduation Rory gives a speech and says,

My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to be. She filled our house with love and fun and books and music….

If my children can look back one day and say something similar about me, I will feel like I succeeded in my job as a mother. With that in mind, we’ve been listening to more music, here are my girls embracing the 80s ( I think ).

What a great video. I love Gilmore Girls, one of my fave ever tv shows. Makes me want a girl for that relationship, but I guess if my boys can say something similar I’m doing something right. She is a cutie and great moves x

That is a beautiful quote, and that probably sums up my inspirations as a mother too. I love the video of them both dancing, very cute, I love little H’s tutu. x
