Years and years ago when I first started this blog I would post a photo on a Sunday, I think I’m going to do that again as it’s a great way to look back on the year with a photo highlight for the week.
This week my photo is dedicated to my superstar 10 year old who finished third in our county level 3 gymnastics competition yesterday and that was with a terrible bar ( she fell off twice ). Gymnastics is such a hard sport and the skills expected from these girls are incredibly difficult. I am super proud of her perseverance and dedication to her sport.
Gymnastics has at various points taken over our life, there was even a postponed holiday a couple of years ago. She trains 5 days a week for a total of 24 hours, 30 minutes away from home. It’s a lot even just to get her there some weeks as I have a job and three other busy children to consider, but she works so hard and loves it so very much we have to give her the chance to see where this journey takes her.
Congratulations to your daughter on her finish! Her dedication is to be commended, as is yours for making the time even on busy days.
What a lovely photo! She sounds very dedicated, you must be so proud!

Such an amazing achievement, so much grit and determination shown by her to put in the hours needed and to dust herself off after falling.
What a great photo, she looks really happy with her achievement.
I’m sorry to hear that she fell off but well done to her. She’s done so well!
What an amazing achievement, well done!! I can totally relate with the commitments these things take! My son swim competitively and swimming sometimes feels like it takes over our life too with the training and competitions etc. I often joke I should probably just start camping out at the pool lol!
We are the same with swimming here – well done young lady on your passion and achievements
