To my darling daughter

July 3, 2011 by admin

I look at you sometimes and can’t believe such a tiny beautiful child came from me. I love that you ooze confidence, and make everyone laugh. You shine in any situation and stand out from the crowd. Nursery staff tell me that you are motherly and look after everyone, giving hugs when people are upset and chat away to anyone who comes in the room.

You are my gorgeous, fiery little redhead girl with an infectious giggle and mischevious streak. You brother calls you ‘Little Miss Scary S’, and your baby sister is in awe of you and just a tiny bit scared.

I love that you say ‘Hello’ to everyone we pass.

  • To teenage boys ‘Hello Boys’
  • To shop assistants ‘Hello little lady’
  • To men with grey hair ‘Hello Grandad’

I love that you like to do things ‘togdether‘, even if it is just pouring you poo from the potty to the toilet.

I love your sweet little voice, and the funny random things you say.

I love that you still sit on my knee to drink your milk and when you put your arms around my neck.

I love that everyone is your best friend.

However there are just a few things you need to know…..

It is not ok to just find a grassy patch at the side of the park and pull down your pants.

People don’t really like it if you tell them you have red spots and them sneeze on them.

Doing a wee in the bathroom is not the same as on the toilet.

You need to just a tiny bit gentler when doing ‘row, row, row your boat’ with the baby.

Mummy likes her ear drums in tact….please reduce the screaming a decibel or two.

Please don’t play with your brothers toothbrush ( electric  ) in the bath.

Baby H is not your brother, she’s your sister.

You can’t get what you want by stamping your feet and shouting the loudest.

Love,

Mummy

Hi nice to meet you, Jody here. Love this! Your daughter sounds so incredibly cute – “Hello boys!” I have to train my kids to lift their heads and say hello. Sometimes I feel quite the madwoman exhorting them to do this!
