Great things to do for Halloween in Hampshire 2022

If you’re looking for fun things to do in Hampshire for Halloween, I’ve got some great ideas.

West Green House and Gardens

We were lucky enough to visit the Halloween event at West Green House last year and it was brilliant! I can’t wait to go again this year. The light trail weaves around the gardens with mythical sculptures and some hidden surprises. It was spooky enough to be fun, but not too scary for little people. The atmosphere was perfect and the warm drinks and food a wonderful addition to the evening.

Check the website for prices and availability.

Halloween River Tour in the New Forest

New Forest Adventures are running their Halloween river tour again this year. We spent a lovely afternoon canoeing down the Beaulieu River with them in the summer holidays, so I am sure the Halloween special will be amazing!

Finkley Down Farm

Head to Finkey Down Farm for lots of spooky fun for little ones, including a spooky barn, spooky disco, Halloween trail and spooky storytime!

Halloween at Paultons Park

Paultons Park has a special spooky show, late night openings so visitors can ride in the dark as well as brilliant decorations and of course, Halloween themed Peppa Pig!

Wizard Week on the Watercress Line

Wizard Week on the Watercress line runs from the 24th to 30th October. Visitors can ride the trains and stop at the spooktacular stations for lots of Halloween fun, including broom making demonstrations, magic tricks, wand making, face painting and a fancy dress competition!

National Trust – The Vyne

The Vyne near Basingstoke has a Halloween Riddle Trail for over 8s and a character trail for under 8s. There’s also an autumn colour hunt and the tea room is always a lovely place to warm up with a delicious hot drink and cake!

Halloween at the Spinnaker Tower

Search for pumpkins around the Spinnaker Tower this Halloween. They also have a High Tea and Santa Experience available too!

Funland at Hayling Island

Funland has a super special spooky Halloween event this year. There’s a pumpkin patch for small ones and plenty of scares for older kids too! Are you brave enough? For just £15 you get unlimited rides and access to the mazes!

More ideas for October Half Term in Hampshire

Winchester Science Museum has live shows, planetarium shows and huge live demos as well as the usual exhibits.
