Thoughtful Gifts This Christmas

Now that November is underway it is finally time to start truly thinking about Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year and it brings together the family and allows us to have some much needed time off after a difficult year. When it comes to Christmas we can think about buying the most elaborate gifts for our loved ones and spending the most money, but in all honesty it is the thoughtful gifts which mean the most. Here are just a few ideas for thoughtful gifts for your family and friends this Christmas.

Photo collage

A photo collage can be a really lovely gift to get for a family member and it is something which you can really take the time to make yourself and choose the most fitting images you know they will love. You can use a ready made frame company to buy a collage frame and fill it with the most wonderful memories you can, and this will be a precious gift like no other.

Homemade planter

A planter might seem like an odd gift to buy someone at Christmas but if you know someone who is greenfingered and loves to grow their own herbs, this is the ideal gift to make which will let them know how much you care. A planter can be made out of oven bake clay with your thumbs and you can use inspiration on Pinterest to show you what to do and how to make the best you can. It will be a cute and unique gift which they will love.

A fun hamper

If you know your friend loves a certain thing such as superheroes, wine and cheese, pamper nights… you can make a hamper for them to celebrate the things they love most and give it to them on Christmas Day. For example if you were making a cheese and wine hamper you could have a white and red wine, a cheese board and knives, and some unique cheese flavours for them to try on crackers. It’s a simple idea but one which you can play around with and really make into your own.

A day out together

A wonderful gift to give to someone in the family who you don’t often see anymore is to arrange a day out with them doing something they love. It could be afternoon tea, a hike in the countryside, to karting… the possibilities are endless and to spend time with your family or friend is the best gift you can get them of all.

Something with their name on it

A wine glass, a photo frame, a star… there are many different ideas for gifts which include your recipient’s’ name and it can be a fun thing to do for them as an extra special gift this year. Think of things such as the pyjamas, trinkets and other gifts which can be personalised to fit them and only them. It is a way of saying they are special and showing them how much they mean to you.
