Did you know the 2014 Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour kicked off with the award winning Jonathan Meres in last January? The book tour (in association with the Scottish Book Trust) takes the very best UK and international authors into schools across Scotland and the UK hoping to inspire a love of reading, writing and illustration. If you’re looking for ideas for new children’s books the website is also a great source of inspiration with recommendations for books by amazing authors.
In June the tour travelled to Brighton and Hove with award-winning Scottish picture book author Chae Strathie. Have you read Loon on the Moon, Jumblebum or Bedtime for Tiny Mouse? We’ve not read Loon on Moon yet, but I love the idea of Loon travelling around in his Loonzoomer collecting children’s dreams.
I’m very excited to have a SIGNED copy of Loon on the Moon to giveaway, all you need to do to enter is complete the Rafflecopter form below.
I’m very excited to read about the next author, Nicola Davies who will be visiting Argyll & Bute this September. We’re huge fans of her books, especially the non-fiction ones, such as Deadly, which my son finds fascinating.
To find out more read the daily blogs written by the authors on the road or watch out for photos and videos on Scottish Friendly’s Facebook page and Twitter account @BooksOnTour.
