Simba Hybrid Duvet Review

Published: Jan 18, 2024 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored content

After the unusually mild end to the year, this cold weather has come as a bit of a shock. We’ve all been snuggling under blankets at night and looking forward to getting under the duvet at bedtime.

With six people in the house, separate winter and summer duvets are not really an option, so I was very keen to try out the 10.5 Tog all-year Hybrid Duvet with Stratos® responsive temperature control technology from Simba. The duvet keeps you warm in winter and, with some clever technology, dissipates heat so you’re not too hot in summer!

The duvet comes in a handy recycled storage bag which is a lovely change from the usual plastic bags. The first thing I noticed was how light the duvet feels, you can tell straight away that the fabic is breathable and great quality.

The Stratos® technology is just on one side of the duvet which should be the side closest to your body as you sleep. It is this technology that dissaptes body heat and feels cool to touch! Simba have even solved the problem of duvets clumping together inside by splitting the duvet into squares. It’s also machine washable!

The big question though is, has the duvet kept us warm enough in the current freezing weather?

Yes it has! I often get too hot at night even when it’s cold outside, but the Simba duvet has defintiely stopped me overheating and I’ve been waking up less.

Environmental issues are very important to me so the fact that Simba duvets are made from recycled PET bottle fibres which also biodegrade at end of the life of the duvet is a big plus!

Simba are also part of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a not-for-profit organisation which makes global cotton production better for the people who produce it and the environment it grows in.
