What my children mean to me..

February 1, 2012 by admin 13 Comments

My children are quite simply, my everything. I love them more than I could ever put into words. For a long time I didn’t think I could have children, I still can’t quite believe I have three!

Three children under 5 is not easy, the mess and demands are constant. Someone is always hungry or thirsty or needs their bum wiping. There is always cleaning, washing or cooking to do, and I feel old before my time. My body knows it made and breastfed 3 children in 4 years and mentally I am exhausted, BUT our house is full of love, fun, giggles and cuddles. I wouldn’t change a thing.

My children can simultaneously make me want to scream and laugh out loud. I want to spend every second with them, yet sometimes long for some quiet time.

I would do anything to protect them and will always fight their corner.

My children are my world.

This post was written for the Do Something Yummy writing prompt on behalf of CLIC Sargent at I am Typecast.

Yummy Mummy Week is a fundraising week held by mums, for mums. The idea is to have some fun with your mates, while raising money for a great cause. You can find out more on the website or by visiting Nickie’s blog, I Am Typecast.

I sometimes think that for those of us who had difficulty falling pregnant it’s a bit easier because we can remember how lucky we are when we are shattered ;o)

Wow, 3 under 5 definitely makes you brave! I’ve got a 4yr gap between my 2, but must admit to being a bit broody – however the old body is not keen at 42!

I’d never thought of it that way, but I think you are right. Those days seem so long ago now. 3 under 5’s is definitely challenging xx

3 under 5, I think Supermum would be a well deserved title! Thanks so much for sharing and for getting involved with #dosomethingyummy
