Dora is one of those TV shows that my kids come back to over and over again, and I Iove hearing them speak bits of Spanish as they watch it. We’ve never actually had any Dora the Explorer toys before, so before checking out the Argos catalogue I had no idea what was available. I browsed online with the girls to get some ideas for what they would like and then headed to our nearest Argos to do my shopping.

Dora Explorer Toys

It was a Tuesday morning so the shopping centre was quiet, as was Argos. I couldn’t find Dora mentioned in the index of the catalogue in store, but after a few minutes searching found a small selection of Dora toys.

I opted for Magical Adventure Dora and Horse for £14.99. It came in lovely bright packaging which I knew would immediately appeal to the girls, who were very happy when they returned home from school and nursery.

I paid using the machine in store rather than going to the till, just because it seemed easier. The instructions were very easy to follow and I didn’t have any problems at all.

The packaging was fairly easy and quick to remove, so the girls didn’t have to wait too long to start playing.

H quickly removed Dora’s hairband and started brushing her hair, then carefully groomed the horse too. Since then Dora has had her hair styled on a regular basis.

Dora and her horse have been on magical adventures, slept in the dolls house and even battled with super scary dinosaurs.

I have smiled listening to the girls make up stories together with Dora and her horse, even using little spanish accents to talk as Dora. The set has definitely inspired a LOT of imaginative role play.

Another favourite feature is getting Dora undressed and dressed again.

I think this will be a very well loved and much played with Dora the Explorer doll.
