Lunch with Hartley’s Jelly

Published: Sep 19, 2017 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored content

Jelly is one of those foods that most people like, it’s fun enough to be a treat, but also perfect for a quick snack, dessert or addition to a lunch box. These funky jelly pots from Hartley’s are even better than most as they have no added sugar, all of the sugar is naturally occurring and no artificial colours or flavours have been added! Sounds good to me! I’ve really been struggling to think of things to add to lunch boxes recently and jelly is something that had slipped my mind.

Hartley’s jelly pots are also perfect for vegetarians, which is great for my 9 year old who has decided she no longer wants to eat products which contain pork gelatine after a conversation about where it comes from with her Dad. Lunchtime chats are always fun in our house. Today lunch topics included tales about the cheekiest children in school, how much it hurts to have a baby and different ways to use marshmallows. I love listening to my children chat over a meal, being sat at the table together seems to make them open up a bit more. We always say we need to eat together more as a family, but with lots of 8pm finishes during the week and weekend activities too, it’s not always possible.

Hartley’s has created a fun video series focusing on the weird and wonderful things kids talk about over their lunchbox, they are definitely worth a watch if you need a giggle!

These are yummy and perfect for lunchbox treats. Great that all the sugar is natural. Children ask some brilliant questions over a meal don’t they!

I love the conversations we have over dinner, it’s a great time to catch up and find out how the kids are feeling. I didn’t realise that Hartleys were vegetarian!
