Vanish Bed linen Challenge

Published: May 12, 2015 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored content

I’m slightly ashamed to say that with three extremely messy children I just cannot be house proud. Guests generally have to take us as they find us, but I do always make sure they have clean bedding, even if it’s not ironed…who has time to iron a duvet, right?

However, this gorgeous set from The White Company is just too lovely not to press and display proudly for our guests, so, much to the shock of my husband our guest room has been looking much more inviting of late.

We’ve had a spate of guests over the last few weeks, so it’s been the perfect time to put Vanish Gold for Whites to the test. You can see in the photo below that my beautiful bedding is as white as can be. I’m so pleased!

After our holiday to Florida many of my whites were looking a bit rough around the edges, suncream had turned them a bit yellow and the girls white socks were very grey looking, but again to Vanish Gold for Whites, all my lovely tops look sparkly clean again and girls’ socks can actually be worn without me being a bit ashamed of the state of them.

The best results come from 5-7 washes to achieve the three shades whiter effect.

Using the power form, just add 60g of Vanish directly to the washing machine drawer and then wash as usual.

Sock testing

My little girls are not girly at all, they roll around in mud, walk around the garden with no shoes on and generally get a bit grubby. I’ve pretty much given up on white clothes apart from school socks, but look at the state of these.

Vanish, dirty socks

After just one wash with Vanish gold they look almost new again. I’m so impressed.

I’ll have to try some of this. My whites don’t stay white for long – more a sort of light grey *looks ashamed*
