thorpe park with little ones

We recently spent a great day at Thorpe Park with my 7, 5 and 3 year old. Initially I was a bit concerned that there wouldn’t be enough to keep everyone happy, but as it turned out there was more than enough. Before we went I made a list of all the suitable rides, the website has a handy tool where you can search for rides by their height restriction, which meant we wasted less time wondering where to go when we first entered the park.

Everyone loved The Flying Fish, Mr Monkey’s Banana ride, Rhumba Rapids and the Carousel, while my slightly taller little boy was a big fab of Storm Surge. We didn’t manage to see Angry Birds 4D, but so many people walking around told us how utterly amazing it was. Definitely one for our list next time.

The park is easy to walk around with little ones and there are lots of places to get refreshments or have a quick sit down.

Neptune’s Beach and Wet Wet Wet is a great area for even the youngest children to splash around and cool off in the Summer sun. My children spent ages building sandcastles, racing down the water slides and splashing in the large shallow pool area.

For bigger thrill seekers Thorpe Park has everything you could ever want. Z was a bit gutted he wasn’t tall enough for any, but I know he’ll have us back there as soon as he reaches the minimum height. We watched in awe as my husband braved Stealth and Swarm and even Grandma tried Nemesis Inferno.
