Changing British Homes

I was looking through some old photos last week and found some pictures of our living room in the 80s when I was about 8. The combination of flowery sofa, flowery carpet and even more flowery wallpaper made me feel dizzy, but at the time I’m sure it was very stylish and this infographic seems to agree, chintzy florals were definitely a big feature in our house, along with a dado rail ( when did they go out of fashion? ).

Personally I prefer the clean, smart look of the 10s. I wonder what will come next. Do you think we’ll get more and more minimalist as time goes on?

I found this cool infographic by Plumbs to help illustrate what I mean. Do your family homes fit the styles below? Which is your favourite?
