Since stopping breastfeeding Charlie I’ve been having almost daily headaches. I wake up with them and then they slowly disappear through the day. I think I’ve started grinding my teeth again ( lovely ) and been a bit stressed. I’ve also been eating more junk food party because I can ( I had to be dairy free and egg free when feeding Charlie ) and also because I’m not thinking so much about what I put in my body.
We’re finally on holiday, I say finally because it’s a holiday we postponed last year after our original booking clashed with a big gymnastics competition. There were also times last week when I didn’t think we’d actually make it. Packing for four children including a baby with food allergies is not an easy task, especially during half term!
Now we’re here though I’m trying to use the opportunity to kick start a healthier lifestyle. The brightly coloured and varied buffet options makes it easy to eats lots of fruit, salads and vegetables. I’ve also brought along my trusty fish oil tablets. Do you take any food supplements? I’ve have skin that doesn’t cope well in the sun and have to wear factor 50 sun cream most of the year so I’ve been advised to take Vitamin D supplements. I definitely find they lift my mood and have noticed minor injuries have healed faster since taking them.

I hope you’re feeling much better and that you and your family are having a great holiday! I also have skin that’s super sensitive to the sun and always wear SF50. The supplement you’re taking sounds really interesting, we all need to take care of our hearts!
I need to get some new supplements actually, these sound really interesting. In German, I had a few tests that discovered I was severely Vitamin D deficient and that was living in a country that has a lot more sun than England! 😀
I have to take vitamin D tablets as I’m deficient and when my bloods said I was ok I stopped taking them and I became deficient again. These are the only supplements I take though, I have a seafood allergy so couldn’t take fish oils.
If you figure out a way to stop grinding your teeth in your sleep let me know, I get awful headaches from it. I’m trying to be more healthy lately so I might have to look in to supplements since I can’t imagine my body is getting everything it needs.
I need to start having vitamin tablets again as I know there must be some things my body is lacking x

Oh gosh. The headaches sounds awful. I really hope you’ll be able to reduce them with the changes to your diet.
I sometimes take a Vitamin B12 supplement as I am a veggie and I don’t drink much cows milk anymore. I hope you are having a great time on holiday! x
Fish oil is so good, I’ve always taken it even when I was younger 🙂 I like to take supplements these dahs as they’re really helpful.
Fish Oil is so important and one of the main food supplements we take, including the kids. Sometimes we forget to keep eating healthy especially after breastfeeding and this is an important post to keep check on that.
I take fish oil daily and it has some amazing health benefits. It;’s important to take care of yourself when breastfeeding especially.
It really is, but also so easy to forget to look after yourself.
Sorry to hear you have been suffering with headaches. I am taking tumeric to help my arthritis at the moment and it’s amazing
