Stuck for christmas gifts?

November 14, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

Are you stuck for ideas for Christmas gifts? Or looking for something a little unusual? Prezzy box has lots of great ideas for fun gifts for adults and children, selling everything from chocolate pizza’s to experience days.

We were sent the  Yummy Dough and Bloco Dragons and Reptiles to review.

I was intrigued by the Yummy Dough as all three of my children love Play Doh, but we don’t get it out much as Baby H likes to eat it, so  Yummy Dough seemed perfect for us!

Yummy Dough is a baking mix with added vegetable colouring agents. The kit comes with 4 colours in powder form, a measuring tool and modelling tool. You simply add 15ml of water to the powder and mix to make the dough. It took a while to make the dough up, in future I would do that without the kids around as mine are quite young, but older children could do it themselves.

Z’s spider!

We all had a lot of fun making letters and animals with the dough, and even more fun eating it afterwards. You simply bake for about 20 minutes once you have finished modelling.

Yummy Dough is recommended for children age 3 and over and is £7.95.

 Bloco Dragons and Repltiles

Z loves construction toys, so I knew he would like the Bloco Dragons. The kit comes with 225 pieces and is aimed at chidlren aged 5 to 10 years.

This video shows the kit in action.

I was expecting the pieces to be a little more solid, they are quite foamy, but Z had a great time regardless. He could follow the instructions easily, and I’m sure the modelling of the dragons will be great for his dexterity and problem solving skills.

We were sent the Yummy Dough and Bloco kit free of charge to review. All words and opinions are my own.
