Family friendly holidays can be hard to find, especially if you have a mix of teens and younger children and don’t want to overspend. We’ve searched around and found some fantastic teen friendly holiday options in the UK that will keep kid of all ages happy and won’t break the bank.

The Lake District

The Lake District is a brilliant destination for a family holiday. There’s stunning scenery, exciting outdoor activities and plenty of more low key options for younger kids and older adults.

If you’re looking for a family friendly place to stay in Ullswater, Ullswater Heights is a perfect base for families to explore the Lake District with plenty of entertainment and food options onsite and a beautiful location to relax after a busy day exploring.

Cornwall

Cornwall’s stunning coast, charming villages and lively surf culture make it a fantastic option for a family holiday with teenagers. If you visit in summer, Boardmasters festival is a big event for older teens, offering five jam-packed days of music and surfing. Tickets do sell out early, though, so remember to book beforehand.

One idea for an unusual holiday is to explore Cheshire on a narrowboat. there are lots of great attractions on the waterways including the roman city of Chester, a 50ft vertical boat lift and Harecastle tunnel.
