Six Ideas for Easy LEGO® Christmas Decorations

Published: Nov 21, 2024 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or collaborative content.

I set myself a challenge this year to decorate one of our Christmas trees with just Christmas decorations and ornaments made from LEGO® . I bought what I could find from LEGO® and then tried to fill the gaps with our own creations.

Gingerbread Man Decorations

The gingerbread man decorations come in a pack of 3 and can be customised to look how you want. We thought they were very cute and lots of fun to design and build. I would definitely buy more of these.

LEGO® Christmas Train and Station

The Christmas train is a lovely set that looks fantastic around the bottom of a tree. My tree was a bit unfinished last year. I did intend to cover the base with something that looked like snow to hide the wires but ran out of time. Next year, it’ll hopefully look better.

DIY LEGO® Candy Canes

We got the idea for LEGO® candy cane decorations from the LEGO® Holiday Ideas book, which is full of gorgeous ideas for LEGO® decorations.

I liked the candy canes as they hooked over the tree branches easily and were simple to build.

DIY LEGO® Baubles

We got the idea for LEGO® baubles from a Christmas Decoration YouTube Video and they worked really well. My plan is to build more throughout the year, ready for next Christmas.

Make your own transparent baubles

Our transparent LEGO® baubles were my favourite and super cheap to make. I bought a pack of 6 make your own baubles from HobbyCraft and then filled them with LEGO® we already had. The one in the photo has a snowman from an old advent calendar in it, but we also made a tree in the snow and a reindeer in the snow version.

Last year I made similar decorations but with mini snowglobes instead of baubles.

LEGO® minifigure ornaments

These LEGO® minifgure decorations looked amazing! I got the decoration from Wicked Brick and then used the festive LEGO® figures we already had. They were really reasonably priced, too! I’ll be buying more for next year.

LEGO® Baubles

Finally, I managed to get a free gift of a pack of LEGO® baubles with my Christmas purchases from LEGO.com.

Next year, I hope to make some LEGO® paper chain-type decorations instead of tinsel and a LEGO® tree topper!

If you have any more ideas for a LEGO® Christmas tree, please let me know!
