Automoblox – Play Merrily Toys

I bought Z an Automoblox car for Christmas and he absolutely loved taking it apart and putting it back together again. The cars are beautiful and fantastic quality. One car however does not allow for the full awesomeness of Automoblox to be explored, so Z was very happy when these arrived from Play Merrily Toy Shop and he could finally play with the cars as intended.

The parts of the cars are interchangeable, so children can use their imagination to build a car of their own design. Wheels, tires, passengers, roof parts and body blocks can all be swapped around.

Each car is split into a front block, main block and back block. Shaped removable connectors fit into each part allowing body parts to be mixed.

The cars are made from hardwood, and the roof and wheel parts polycarbonate which makes them pretty indestructable. My girls are pretty harsh testers of any toy. The roof pieces have taken many a tumble down the stars and the cars dropped off sofas and they not only survived but still look immaculate.

I have to admit it took me a few trys to understand how the switching of parts worked, but Z who is 4 didn’t even need me to explain it to him, as soon as I gave him the cars he worked out what to do.

This is his favourite configuration.

I would absolutely recommend Automoblox to anyone. The quality is fantastic, and the cars roll very smoothly across surfaces. I have never come across a toy car so nice to push along. Automoblox are most definitely a toy to play with and then treasure.

Each car has its own unique idententification number that you can use to register your car online. This gives you access to free cards and posters and access to limited edition exclusive models.

The recommended age is 3+, but H who is 18 months, plays with them a lot. She especially likes taking the people out, which has given me the opportunity to introduce the different shapes to her, as each person has a different shaped base.

Merrily Me has a great range of Manhatten Toys, go and check them out.

Models shown are Red Sports Car and Blue Sedan. We received these free of charge to review. All words and opinions are my own.

Many thanks to Merry at Patch of Puddles for giving us the opportunity.
