Wiltopia is a lovely new range from Playmobil made from 80% sustainable materials. Most of the material used is recycled and the outer packaging is now also made from almost 100% recycled cardboard or paper. The figures have a slightly more pastel appearance and feel much more natural.
The range is based round the imaginary Palmer family who live in the Amazon region of South America. As well as enjoying playing with the sets we have learned a lot about the Amazon rainforest and the animals that live there which has been a lovely discovery together.
In addition to the sets based around the Palmer family there are also lots of single animals available. Prices for these start at around £3.99 making them a great idea for a small treat or stocking filler.
Each set also comes with a collectible animal card to collect.
Wiltopia Family Tree House
The Family Tree House is a beautiful large set with lots of great features and opportunities for imaginative and creative play.
The base plate has a secret hiding place as well as tilting steps for animals and people to hide in. There’s a solar cell, lots of animals and the whole Palmer family Sofia, Jamie, Rick, Liv and Lu.
The animals include a hoatzin with a nest, hummingbirds, monkeys and a baby anteater. The usual little Playmobil extras are all there, such as cute sandals for the children and fold out beds. It’s a really lovely set with lots of gorgeous features.

The Wiltopia web app is brilliant. You just scan the QR code on one of the collectable animal knowledge cards that come with the set and you can then add the virtual animal to your Playmobil play set! If you look carefully in the picture below you can see a hummingbird!
The app also has colouring sheets to download, a quiz, fun facts and a virtual way to tick off the animals as you collect them.
