Friday Funny week 11

October 28, 2011 by admin 12 Comments

Picture the scene, Z, Baby H and I are in Clarks asking why H’s 4 week old shoes have given her blisters!!! The lovely man ( who I can’t get cross with as he is too nice and polite ) tells me she has already grown half a size!! I seeth inwardly wondering why I wasted £32 on a pair of shoes that haven’t lasted a month, and how my daughter who never seems to eat anything has actually managed to grow…but anyway…

Lovely man comes back with more shoes to try

 “what is 70 x 10 Mummy?” says Z?

One shoe is on H’s foot

“10000 x 70 Mummy?”

Second shoe on foot. H stands up.

“7 x 8 Mummy?” ( it takes me an embarassingly long time to work this one out, while simulataneously trying to stop H crumbling her baby crisp into the lovely man’s hair )

I walk Hannah round the shop while at least 4 more sums are asked and answered possibly correctly.

Lovely man goes off for more shoes, meanwhile H crawls over to the sparkling clean mirror and smears a yoghurty raisen hand over it. I quickly wipe it, making the smear 10 times worse and run back to sit down.

Lovely man comes back and tries on more shoes. Z pulls down his eyelid, “why’s this bit red Mummy?”

I cringe a bit, I’m not good with eyes and start to say ‘I’ll tell you later’, but he pulls down the other eyelid, pulling a face resembling something from a Halloween movie. I mumble something about keeping eyes moist and turn back to baby H, who is still clutching her now soggy crisp leaving a slimy yoghurty crisp trail behind her.

“700000 x 10 Mummy?”

No shoes to fit Baby H.

“90 x 76 Mummy? urrghhh Mummy look what H did to the mirror…   “

OMG

We leave with shoes on order… I think they will remember us.

Have you got a funny post from this week to link up?? I’d love to see it.

oh your days sound like so much fun…..but that’s probably because I’m just reading about it & not actually living it!
Gotta love those kids…..and is it the red shoes? too small already? I thought Clarkes gave some sort of guarantee if the childs feet grew in a short space of time?

Where can we find the answers to the maths questions?

Have just done welly shopping with Bibsey. I thought that it would be fun… dreadful, shame-making experience during which no slipper in the shop was left unturned.

Eeek, how mortifying. Between you and MammyWoo, Clarks must be making a fortune from funny kid stories.
